AJ Feeney-Ruiz:
I'm running to represent District 15 because I genuinely want to help my fellow downtown Indy residents and see Indianapolis thrive. Being a City County Councilor in Indianapolis should be a privilege and not a consolation prize for failed attempts at higher elected office. I'm running because I feel I can best bridge the gap between the historic downtown population of district and the thousands of new residents calling Indy home.
As a small business owner with an education in law and business and experience in all levels of government, I can be an informed and influential advocate in city government. I am not afraid or unwilling to reach across the aisle when necessary, and I will always look to the needs of my district when casting my vote.
I look at the role of City County Councilor as service to my community and not as a springboard to personal gain or other elected office.
I will always make myself available to my constituents and always be their most zealous advocate.

Strengthening Neighborhoods
Working with community leaders, private businesses, and government agencies to bring neighbors together again, stand against crime, and develop neighborhood projects.
Strengthening Small Businesses
Work with established entrepreneurs and startups to help further transform downtown Indianapolis into a hotbed of innovation - attracting more young professionals.
AJ Feeney-Ruiz:
My district is the downtown City County Council district...so I don't know where to begin. So many visitors come to Indy and don't realize we have an amazing downtown canal connecting Buggs Temple to White River State Park. I always refer visitors to this space and even more so now that local artists have created amazing murals along the canal's length just in time for the Superbowl. I'd encourage them to do a complete circuit, and make sure to grab some sweet potato fries at Creation Cafe midway through.
