Charles Ross:
I have been serving the city as Councilor since 2007.
Charles Ross:
Primarily, as with most municipalities, Linden is experiencing a reduction of revenues caused by reduced property values, home foreclosures and reduced revenues from the state. Our challenge is to continue to provide our residents the services they deserve with these reduced revenues.
Charles Ross:
There is a need to build relationships and the City of Linden has been proactive in this endeavor. We have been meeting with the City of Fenton, Fenton Township, the local school districts and other municipalities to identify areas in which we can partner in order to reduce spending. This group has initiated meetings between area fire departments, public works departments and other municipal departments to share best practices and identify cost saving measures.
