Edward C. Ciesielski: The candidate did not submit a response.

Charles Ross: I have been serving the city as Councilor since 2007.

Charles Ross: Primarily, as with most municipalities, Linden is experiencing a reduction of revenues caused by reduced property values, home foreclosures and reduced revenues from the state. Our challenge is to continue to provide our residents the services they deserve with these reduced revenues.

Charles Ross: There is a need to build relationships and the City of Linden has been proactive in this endeavor. We have been meeting with the City of Fenton, Fenton Township, the local school districts and other municipalities to identify areas in which we can partner in order to reduce spending. This group has initiated meetings between area fire departments, public works departments and other municipal departments to share best practices and identify cost saving measures.

Experience: Chair - Area Wide Apprentice Committee, Chair - Michigan Apprenticeship Steering Committee, Member - Mott Community College Mechanical Advisory Board, Trustee - Linden Community Schools Board of Education, Currently serving as Linden City Councilor - Mayor Pro Tem

Community Involvement: Trustee - Loose Senior Center Board of Directors, Linden City Council Budget Committee

Campaign Message: I will continue to support a city budget that maintains our current level of services to our citizens by maximizing the expenditure of our dwindling revenues.
