The most pressing infrastructure need is the Highland Road Water Main! This services a major part of our city including Highland Woods, Alpha Drive and other areas. It has failed over a dozen times over the last few years. This is a major problem. The longer we wait the MORE expensive it becomes. If we don't plan for this and it fails again, it will end up costing us even more. I would look at several ways to pay for this VERY important repair.
Scott A. Mills:
I am against any drilling of gas wells in our city park where our children play. The shame is that we shouldn't be in this if the mayor followed the law, he didn't and now it we have spent over $100,000 in legal fees. That money could have been used for other improvements in the city park. I am trusting the legal system and our legal team to work through this. If we could settle this without drilling, that would be our best option.
Scott A. Mills:
It is terrible that it has gone on this long and the only option the administration has is a huge gas station and car- wash. I would reach out for better options. The property is adjacent to 3 other medical buildings, why hasn't the administration looked into this. This property is in a residential neighborhood and should be something that fits within the surroundings. Had the administration been more proactive, it would have been a great site for the Mayfield Library.
