Yes, get the NJ Supreme Court out of legislating from the bench and only fund the T & E portion of
everyone’s school bill). Also end socialized programs that stop teachers from teaching and put more burdens on the school
system. This adds cost. Some of these are special staff at schools that deal with IEP, special ed, ESL.
Frank C. Cottone:
NO. This is part of the UN Agenda 21 initiative and it is something that sounds nice. But in the end, only takes away
more of our personal rights and liberties. Why do we need bigger government at the expense of tax payers when government
can’t even do the job it’s supposed to. This violates our core principles of having intrusive government when/where not needed.
Frank C. Cottone:
What master plan? First off I have been an environmentalist since I was a child but instead of getting emotional and angry, I understand that all of us are to blame for pollution. I support getting our engineering base stronger and then doing what America used to be known for, solving problems. Energy conservation is step one. Employing corrupt RIGGI or tax raising plans will not solve excessive greenhouse emissions and will add cost burden to our taxpayers. This is the typical liberal response because they are unable to get technical and moral to solve energy and pollution problems.
Frank C. Cottone:
The infrastructure is not crumbling this is an exaggeration.
We need mass transit, hoover ships. Europe and Asia are way ahead on these. Also we should look to hire workers that are local to the region where their employer is, this is similar to affirmative action but instead of discriminating, it creates a smarter commute to work and reduces pollution, traffic, accidents. This should have a cumulative positive affect on our economy and environment. It’s all based on being constitutional and have little government corruption/intervention and just use common sense and morals.
Frank C. Cottone:
To have property tax
relieve the voters needs power over their local government and election time is not enough power. I have personal ideas
regarding this that revolve around ethics and reducing waste/fraud. The main thing we can do is have all bond debt be voter
approved.
Frank C. Cottone:
We need citizens to be more involved, to know and
stand up for their rights and to vote for the person of their choice. This means the two party “status quo career politicians” must
be removed and replaced with non-radical citizens that have no allegiance to corrupt party machines

The Supreme Court's May 2011 decision had the effect of perpetuating serious inequities in NJ's past school funding practices. The status quo has failed to boost learning outcomes in the Abbott districts while overburdening suburban taxpayers. I believe we need to reform some key components of the funding formula, starting with the "adequacy budget." We cannot know if funding is "adequate" until we have clear, objective measures of progress and performance.
Amy H. Handlin - Incumbent:
Yes, we need a mechanism to encourage development in municipalities and regions where it will be welcomed and incentivized, and to reinforce protection of natural resources.
Amy H. Handlin - Incumbent:
I support Governor Christie's Energy Master Plan.
Amy H. Handlin - Incumbent:
I support the Administration's $3.2 billion extension of the TTF. This plan significantly reduces our reliance on borrowing, while drawing on $400 million per year from the Port Authority and additional funding from the $1.25 billion Turnpike Authority set-aside originally intended for the ARC tunnel.
Amy H. Handlin - Incumbent:
The 2% property tax cap was the 1st critical step. We need to pass the "Toolkit" to reform/eliminate the mandates & cost drivers in the way of long-term relief. There has been action on some of these bills, but we need to move forward as quickly as possible in areas like civil service reform, eliminating payouts for unused sick leave and banning nonpubic employees from the state pension system. As per my bill A5961, I strongly support a range of mechanisms to facilitate shared services.
Amy H. Handlin - Incumbent:

Reduce tax by have homestead rebate or NJ income tax be used only for reduction of property tax, this tax was not made to use for anything else.
have lottery revenues only used for schools to reduce school tax burden
William H. Lawton:
YES if you can give 50% of the cost to go to a public school back to any parent who use private or home school this would a win win situation for the tax burdened property owner paying school tax by cutting it in half and the parent home school or private school to get an incentive
William H. Lawton:
Have an average school cost and for schools say $14000 per student and cap it at that. if that would like more than that may use private or home schools wealthier does not mean be used as a target for bad management
William H. Lawton:
No we can not stop progress ask any American Indian the first to promote open spaces
William H. Lawton:
No It seems, he may have friends and family members who is clouding his true intent, if he was really interested he would not tax the labor on these items
William H. Lawton:
No you can't fix stupid with more tax
William H. Lawton:
Feel the best way to cut tax is by allowing the people to vote on what they can afford not by what the politicians wont. Also give the people a chance to decide what should be cut example 5 teachers at a cost of 250,000 dollars a year or one Business Administrator and one CPA and staff for the town at a cost of $250,000.00
